Individual Therapy

I offer individual psychotherapy to pre-teens, adolescents and adults. I work with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, bipolar disorder, codependency, divorce, family conflict, life transitions, oppositional defiance, peer relationships, low self esteem, sexual abuse, suicidal ideation, trauma and PTSD. Sessions are fifty minutes long, and I recommend that we begin treatment meeting on at least a weekly basis. This allows us to establish a strong and comfortable rapport quickly and gain momentum in addressing your challenges. Some may experience symptom reduction over the course of weeks, while others may see more long-term and lasting changes over the course of months or years.

Family Therapy

I offer family therapy in two formats: parent-child dyads and parent guidance sessions. For families that wish to be seen with all members together, I will refer to another trusted colleague. Given your child or family’s specific needs, we can decide jointly which format would most benefit your family system. I often recommend individual treatment with myself or another provider in conjunction with family treatment. If I am seeing your pre-teen or adolescent in individual treatment, I sometimes will invite you to join the appointment if requested by your child or will recommend we schedule our own appointment to discuss your child’s treatment.
